Too Many Choices!

Well, as some of you may know, at the end of next week I will be traveling away from the beautiful city by the bay for the far of shores of San Diego. And the impetus for this momentous trip? San Diego International Comic Con!!! Yup thats right Comic Con. I went two years ago and had a blast. Now I'm going back and I honestly couldn't be more excited.

There is a lot of great stuff to do and see. Also Erica will be there with me, unfortunately she'll be working, but at least she'll be around to have dinner with and whatnot. So I've got the ticket to the con, I've got the flight and hotel booked, all I need now is to figure out what exactly I want to see. When I went last time I didn't have a game plan and that was a definite mistake. If you've never been to a con you might not understand but they are really pretty overwhelming when you first step in. This one in particular being the biggest convention of its kind in the world is just plain nutty. Last time I spent the majority of my time running around trying to get into panel sessions that I'd missed the line up for and was consequently locked out of, or just wandering aimlessly on the convention floor. That was great but really not very productive. There is really a lot of great things to see and I don't want to be left out just because I didnt realize that I should be at such and such room at such and such time.

For me the panel sessions are the coolest thing, and as you know if ytou read this blog at all I love movie stuff. So here is an abridged list of all the panel sessions that I'm thinking of going to. Unfortunately a lot of them overlap, and the bigger ones might lock their doors once keeping new people out so i will have to pick and choose. Are there any that really catch your eye that you think I shouldn't miss???

That's a lot of stuff, Now I really need to decide what's best to see. I'm unfortunately missing the activities on Thursday, but by the end of that weekend I'm positive that I'll be pretty tired out. I'll just need to remember to pack a bag with sandwiches, snacks, and a camera and prepare for some big big days. On Top of that I'll want to buy a few things, by Sunday they always have trade paperbacks for like half off. And you can find some great bootleg dvds etc around. I'd also thought about buying a print/cell/page of art. I'm thinking either Samurai Jack, or a page of Silver Surfer. Maybe I should make a list or something. Anyhow, I'm sure it'll all shape up to be a great time. I'm just so excited :)
