Recently reported by Variety director Tim Burton has signed on to make two new 3-D films for Disney. The first is a new version of Alice in Wonderland, which I am honestly super excited about. I mean can't you just imagine how fantastically twisted he will make it? And I'm interested to see how he does it. Reportedly Alice will blend live action and animation in the same way as Beowulf. very cool news. And the second film set to be brought to life is a feature length remake of Burton's 30 minute short Frankenweenie. And this one will be closer to the animation style of Nightmare Before Christmas. I have yet to see the original but apparently it can be found on the special edition of Nightmare and sounds pretty darn great. Hopefully I can see that before this hits theaters.
In the meantime while we wait for these sure to be works of genius, why don't you check out Vincent a great little 5 minute short film made by Burton long long ago. It's super fun too :)
