Three board Imaginarium

About a month ago I mentioned how rumors were swirling that Johnny Depp was going to step into the role left vacant by the tragic death of Heath Ledger in Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Dr Parnasus. Well the fate of The film has cleared up now, and it is not at all what was expected. In honor of Ledger, it seems like a number of stars have really stepped up to the plate, and now it has been confirmed that Depp will not be the only actor to continue the role began by Ledger. As a natural device in the plot allows for the multiple actor changes, the character originated by Ledger will now be played by Johnny Depp, Jude Law, Colin Farrell, AND Heath Ledger... The everyman character of Tony "is transported into three separate dimensions in the fantasy pic; these new worlds, which Ledger accesses via a paranormal mirror, will now be inhabitated by Depp, Law, and Farrell."

I think this is a nice idea. Hopefully it will make sense in the movie, and honor the memory of Heath. As much as I'm looking forward to The Dark Knight, I'm glad Heath's last film wont have him playing a homicidal maniac. While production has not as of yet resumed, Imaginarium is slated for a 2009 release.
