Golden Globe winners

While I wisely avoided the Golden Globe Press Conference (haha) last night, in order to go see Persepolis (fantastic); I thought it might be interesting to check out the winners. Straight from the HFPA to you, here are your 2008 Golden Globe winners!

My reaction honestly is one of surprise. I guess according to my own predictions I got 10/25 correct, which isn't horrible, but doesn't it seem like a lot of these winners are not the typical kind of shows and people who win these awards? I mean, 30 Rock I understand; but Mad Men? Damages? And I've never even heard of Longford. Maybe I'm just getting the Golden Globes mixed up with The Emmys... Anyhow, overall I'm pretty happy with these choices. It's great to see quality entertainment recognized as opposed to whatever cheap trick plays to the lowest common denominator. Good choices Hollywood Foreign Press.
