One of the greatest 80s film franchises is coming back to life, Short Circuit, starring everyones favorite madcap robot Johnny Five is returning to the big screens. As reported by Variety the rights have been picked up by Dimension Films, and the original creators SS Wilson, and Brent Maddock have been hired on to handle the remake. The new film is planned to be similar in theme to the original but will obviously factor in advances in technology.
How come the plane in Stealth didn't want to make 3 Stooges references and fall in love? If only all of our ghosts in the machine were as entertaining as Johnny Five. My recommendation, bring both Guttenberg and Ally Sheedy back, at least for a cameo. Those two are so great.
