As I never really watched the tv series Land of the Lost, I have basically no idea who these Sleestak guys are but they look so cheesy and so funny that I honestly can't help but get a bit excited to see them in this new Will Ferrell movie. I honestly think this could be a hilarious film. Anything that can push Ferrell out of his box is good at this point. He hasn't hit the wall yet, but you can see it coming; so I think this kind of thing is great. And man, will you just look at that mug? How could you not love a Sleestak. The pic is care of The USA Today, who have a few words with the director and also mention at least one difference between the film version being made and the old series. The movie will follow three adults, and no kids on this adventure. Proabbly a smart thing there. Anyhow, enjoy your Sleestaks people :)

I was an original watcher of Land of the Lost, back in the mid-70s. It was a really cool show. I have since read that some well-regarded sci-fi writers did some of the episodes. I was 6-8 years old when it aired.
As far as cheesy, well, they didnt have CGI or a big budget back then, so what could they do?
