Playing a Shell Game

Len Wiseman, the 'mastermind' behind the enjoyable yet fluffy Underworld films, and last summers Live Free or Die Hard is set to direct his next film. A "passion project" that has been at least 5 years in the making. The film is called Shell Game and is a "sci-fi action thriller that follows a detective who is faced with a moral dilemma as he investigates the dangerous black-market business of immortality."

Nice... We need more stories about all powerful future tech gone awry. I like to think of it as cautionary fun, in the vein of Terminator, I Robot, or Freejack. This film sounds a bit like all three of those, only possibly better. Possibly worse of course, but I think I'll be positive for now. Shell Game will at the least be action pack, full of fun, and look great, if Wiseman's other films are anything to judge by.

Wiseman mentions in the Variety article that he'd waited to make the film until now, so that he could work with a budget he thinks the film deserves. More on Shell Game as it develops.
